KP foundation program: Transformation of aspirational districts: Mulugu district, Telangana State

A five-person delegation from the KP Foundation recently visited the Mulugu district to discuss the possibility of adopting and reforming a group of villages with the district collector, Shri Krishna Aditya IAS, and other district administration officials. The delegation engaged in in-depth conversations about the potential for improving the living conditions of the villagers and the steps that need to be taken to achieve this goal.

After the meeting, the team visited several villages in the Venkatapur Mandal of Mulugu district to gain a better understanding of the socio-economic conditions of the area. This included observing the living conditions of the villagers, the availability of basic amenities such as education and healthcare. and the economic opportunities available to them. This information will be used to develop a comprehensive plan for the adoption and reform of the villages. The team’s aim is to improve the standard of living of the villagers and help them lead a better life.

The following factors were taken into consideration when choosing this cluster:

2. Literacy rate

3. Multi-dimensional Poverty Index based on the parameters of Education, Health and Standard of living parameters.
